When a woman starts an entrepreneurial endeavor she only has high hopes for its longevity and success. Why else would anyone pour their heart, mind, soul and often time savings into becoming an entrepreneur if high achievement isn’t the end goal? Sometimes due to many circumstances the success they dream about doesn’t quite materialize.
After ten years of hearing from women entrepreneurs, Women TIES is focusing the first part of the year in each of our seven regions discussing the money side of doing business to shine light on some realities that face women entrepreneurs in order to provide better strategies and inspiration for them to climb to a higher level of success.
At the Women TIES Binghamton Luncheon Program “True Grit: Making Failure Work for You and Your Business,” Elin Barton, CEO of White Knight Productions will shares her story of success, hardship and coming out on the other side poised for growth and opportunity to motivate other women entrepreneurs. While people are programmed to not want to talk about failure, we are all bound to experience it multiple times throughout our lives, especially if we’re prone to taking risks. Elin shares how she navigated through her business’ darkest days and repositioned her company for more than 200% growth in the year following what she refers to as “the crash”. Through her experience you will learn how to build a team of supporters (even if you’re a solo-preneur), maintain and grow your vision, and find the path that’s right for you.
This will be a powerful program filled with insight, conversation and sharing aimed at opening up a valuable conversation about money, success and risk between event attendees.

Elin Barton is the CEO and President of White Knight Productions, Inc. White Knight Productions is a boutique agency providing full-service video, advertising and marketing. The firm specializes in building campaigns around clients’ stories that resonate with their customers in a results-driven way.
Elin is a recent graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10KSB program, and is developing a new product line to help streamline human resources management and training.
