The blog was independently invented by Ian Ring, in 1997 and became more popular around 2001. Fifteen years later women entrepreneurs still struggle with understanding how to market a blog successfully to make it a beneficial marketing tool for their companies. Blogging has become an essential part of running a business today although there is no ‘cookie cutter blueprint’ for what works leaving many companies frustrated.
At the Women TIES Greater Albany/Saratoga Luncheon: “Blogging Success Tips” sponsored by the Women’s Business Center of New York State, Jenna Caputo, Founder of Silverpen Productions, will educate women entrepreneurs with basics on getting started including blogging platform options, vital blog sections, creating tags & categories as well as photos to drive traffic. Jenna will also review statistics and how to learn what your audience likes best about your posts and the keywords that draw their attention. We will also discuss blog topic ideas to help the initial “writer’s block.” This is a perfect program to attend as you look to adding “blogging” to your New Year’s Resolution list.
