North Country Seminar: Facebook for Business

The Women’s Business Center of NYS and the North Country PTAC proudly present a highly informative seminar for small to medium-sized businesses and nonprofits where they will learn how to use free tools from Facebook to market themselves. “Facebook for Business” is coming up on November 27th and will be presented in both Watertown and Lowville, NY.

Facebook offers business owners and organizations a relatively easy entry into the marketing world with its robust set of free tools. Marketing a product, service or group with a Facebook Page can provide an attractive return-on-investment for time spent in its management. “Facebook for Business” will teach participants simple marketing strategies that can implemented in as little as 2-3 hours per week. This session will cover initial setup, optimization, privacy, fan management and growth, content development and scheduling, boosting posts and much more.

“Facebook for Business” will take place in Watertown on November 27th at the Fairfield Inn and Suites from 9am to noon. The session will be repeated the same day in Lowville at the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce from 3pm til 6pm. The sessions cost $25 each and registration is highly encouraged HERE or by calling (315)733-9848.

Marketing a new or established business can seem like a daunting task to many owners and managers, but it’s an important part of any successful business strategy. Seminar participants will learn how to spend a few hours per month and effectively advertise a product or service to a highly-targeted local or regional audience. They will discover how to use free modern tools to connect with a qualified audience that needs their product or service; gain valuable insight into lead development, and learn how to turn a prospect into a follower, followers into customers, and customers into raving fans.

All are welcome. Men, women, students, veterans, disabled-persons and retirees are all welcome to attend training sessions presented by the Women’s Business Center and partner agencies.

Following “Facebook for Business” is an additional session focused on paid Facebook advertising:

  • December 11th – Facebook Ads Manager – Participants will learn to use the same robust marketing tool that the agencies use by applying a budget to effectively advertise to a highly-qualified audience of Facebook Users. This class is recommended for those ready to budget $150 – $300 per month in Facebook advertising costs. ($25)

All seminars are presented in collaboration between the Women’s Business Center of NYS and North Country PTAC, a program supported by the Greater Watertown Chamber of Commerce. In Lowville, sessions are hosted and supported by the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce and Lewis County Economic Development.
